ABOUT TYNDALL PRECISION MACHINING
Tyndall Precision Machining is owned and operated by David Shaw, a machinist and millwright with over 35 years of hands-on experience.
Based in Tyndall, Manitoba, this is a small shop focused on manual machining, equipment repair, and getting things fixed properly the first time.
David spent most of his career working on printing machinery, both screen and lithographic. That work involved constant repairs, rebuilds, and keeping production equipment running. Over time, that led into machine design and building work in the pharmaceutical industry, where precision and reliability matter.
Outside of industrial work, David has a strong background in motorcycle racing and motorcycle customization. Performance and precision matter whether it’s industrial equipment or high-performance machines. That experience carries over into the way work is approached, with close attention to fit, alignment, and how parts actually perform under real conditions.
That background carries into everything done here — practical work, tight tolerances, and no shortcuts.

HOW WORK IS DONE
This isn’t a production shop.
Most jobs are repair work, one-offs, or fixing parts that aren’t easy to replace. The focus is on doing solid work that holds up, not rushing jobs out the door.
If something can be repaired, it will be. If it needs to be remade, it’ll be done right.
WHERE ACCURACY MEETS INTEGRITY
That’s how the work is handled — clear communication, no guesswork, and work done right the first time.
